It has been a while since our last post as we waited out winter by staying busy with work! With summer quickly arriving, we took an afternoon to try out the new kayaks. Good news – THEY FLOAT! Unfortunately, the weather turned pretty quickly and as we were paddling to shore to beat the ominous storm, we spotted a little animal head in the water. While I was paddling forward towards what I thought was a cute turtle swimming 30 feet ahead, Steph and his dislike of snakes thought the worst. Turns out, he was right…a not so cute water snake was weaving his way towards shore also. Luckily, we all made it to our final land destinations without any interference of one another!
