Back from St. Martin we felt refreshed, energized and very healthy. It was amazing to be our normal selves again. The second mycotoxin test confirmed what we already felt. The toxin levels, while still at above normal levels, had gone down significantly. My ochratoxin A level reduced by over 50% and my mycophenolic acid level by over 90%. The reduction of the huge initial mycophenolic acid concentration revealed another toxin of the Penicillium genus in my 2nd mycotoxin test – sterigmatocystin – at above acceptable levels. Dani’s mycophenolic acid level was ZERO! Her ochratoxin A was still elevated and she had an elevated citrinin level this time.
We were really excited. Our detox program worked and we both made excellent progress. It also showed that our human bodies, like the famous “camel’s back”, could only take so much before we had to reduce our body’s overall toxin and harmful substance exposure to give them the opportunity to heal themselves.
Our doctor confirmed we should continue what we were doing – charcoal, infrared heat therapy, no alcohol, no tobacco, no added sugars, gluten-free, lactose-free and lots of cardio exercise. We changed one thing though: as we really enjoyed the full body workout from swimming while on St. Martin, we added Olympic size pool lap swimming to our workout routine.
