New Home, New Life?

As our plan of loving the beach and living at the beach unfortunately did not merge very well for us, our new home search was focused on new construction or newly renovated, within driving distance from the beach and a short daily work commute. We looked at quite a number of condos, townhouses and apartments and immediately ruled out properties with a history of rain or water damage, HVAC condensate leaks and units that sat empty for longer than three months. And we wanted to move in as fast as possible!

Within a couple of months we had a winner. A like-new condo with new carpets and no noticeable leaks, water damage or mold growth. Closing and move in was set for September 1st. We were beyond excited and hopeful!

During the months of house hunting our health situation didn’t really changed. We were still waking up with stuffy sinuses and having the cold and foggy head symptoms throughout the day. But the good news was the symptoms weren’t get worse either. We had the move and a very busy fall travel season ahead of us so feeling sick – again – wasn’t an option!
